Last April, as we told you at the time, Motorola presented the Edge 50 family, which originally consisted of three models, Ultra, Pro and Fusion, two high-end and one medium, with which the historic brand now (very well ) managed by Lenovo, strengthened its position in both market segments. However, the family was not yet complete and has not been so to this day Missing members have been added to give it the full dimension it deserves..
Contrary to the behavior of other brands, Motorola decided to create a family in which its flagship, they have more than a wide range throughout the high and mid rangeand personally it feels like a success because the spirit of this top design can be carried down to the “lower” levels so that more users choose it. Greater visibility and greater reach, two key points in a market as competitive as the mobile phone market.
Now, with the new models unveiled today, the brand is reinforcing this strategy There are five models that make up the familybecause they are added to the above Motorola Edge 50 and Motorola Edge 50 Neowhich places it between the entry-level high-end and the top of the mid-range. We see your specifications and then develop them.

We will start with the largest and most powerful model of the two that the brand presents today, which at first glance stands out for its unlimited screen (something very typical of the house) 6.7 inches with 1.5K resolution (2,712 × 1,220 dots) in an academic aspect ratio of 20:9 and with a remarkable density of 446 dots per inch. Regarding its refresh rate, we find a very defensible 12 hertz, which is combined with a sampling rate that can reach 360 hertz. It scales up to 1,600 nits (HDR), making it HDR10+, and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space to ensure fidelity.
Inside, we see that it is powered by a special version of the SoC, slightly faster than the standard one. Snapdragon 7 Gen.1 from Qualcomm, a chip capable of providing very good performance and therefore positioned between the high-end entry level and the upper mid-high range. It is accompanied 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM and nothing less than 512 gigabytes of uMCP storageso neither capacity nor speed will be a problem.
In terms of connectivity, it is practically the most modern, and therefore it can satisfy the needs of the vast majority in this regard. Of course, it offers mobile connection 5G, which accompanies on a wireless level Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2NFC and global positioning compatible with major networks. Of course, we also find here a multifunctional USB-C port, which, among other things, will allow us to charge its battery, so 5000 milliampsat a speed of up to 68 watts. Of course, if you prefer wireless charging, then its maximum speed is 15 watts.
In this new Edge 50, Motorola has not forgotten the camera section either. On the back, which consists of three elements, there is a 50-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, complemented by an element that functions as a wide-angle and macro lens, with 13 megapixels and a number of f/2.2, and a telephoto lens that provides up to 3x optical zoom, with with a resolution of 10 megapixels and a number of f/2.0. As for the front, we also find a remarkable design, as it integrates a 32-megapixel wide-angle lens with an f/2.4 number.
The new Edge 50 is now available on Motorola’s website in synthetic leather and jungle green, koala gray and peach fuzz colors. 599 euros.
In development…
