A car dealership opened in Chengdu today. BMW officially unveiled the latest crossover BMW X3 (within the G48) local production. The Chinese BMW X3 is exactly like the European one, but there is one nuance: the wheelbase of the “Chinese” has been extended by 110 mm, so it has its own roof and floor panels, as well as rear doors. Almost all of the allowance fell on the back row, so comfort was added there.

European dimensions and wheelbase BMW X3 – 4755x1920x1660 mm and 2865 mm, China – 4865x1920x1664 mm and 2975 mm. In terms of wheelbase, the BMW X3 L surpasses the European BMW X5.

The “Chinese” and “European” salons are combined – this applies to both design and options. The crossover received a digital instrument panel with a 12.3-inch diagonal display, a ninth-generation media system with a 14.9-inch diagonal display, interactive ambient lighting, wireless charging for a smartphone and a new multifunction steering wheel with cut edges.

Engines have not yet been announced, but according to the Chinese Ministry of Industry, the range includes the BMW X3 xDrive30L model (with a 2.0-liter B48B20W engine with 287 hp), an 8-speed “automatic” and all-wheel drive.
