Harris asks Trump to debate with microphones on all the time

“Donald Trump is giving in to his advisers who won’t let him debate on a live microphone.

Trump said he preferred to keep his microphone on and did not like being muted during the final debate against his then-opponent, President Joe Biden.

So-called “hot mics” can help or hurt candidates by picking up on off-the-cuff comments that were sometimes not intended for the public.

Muted microphones also prevent debaters from interrupting their opponents.

Representative ABC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The debate will be the first time Harris and Trump face off since Biden dropped out of the presidential race after a poor debate performance. cnn in June.

Harris narrowly beats Trump, WSJ poll finds

Kamala Harris leads her rival Donald Trump by a narrow margin among American voters, according to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) poll conducted after this month’s Democratic National Convention.

A poll released Friday shows 48% of voters have a generally favorable opinion of the Democratic nominee, compared with 47% of the Republican former president, when asked which of the two they prefer.

When including more independents, Harris also leads Trump by 2 points, 47% to 45%.

It’s the first WSJ poll since last April that shows a Democratic candidate leading Trump. (Reuters and EFE)
