BYD hasn’t released technical details or revealed the design, but it looks like Xia will be repeating the Denza D9 minivan inside, as the exteriors of these models are practically identical.
The dimensions of the BYD Xia are 5145x1970x1805 mm, the wheelbase is 3045 mm. The car is based on the BYD DM 5.0 hybrid platform. The car will be equipped with the DiPilot driver assistance system and the DiSus-C suspension control system, but there will be no pneumatic components.
The power plant will be equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 156 hp, according to preliminary data. and an electric motor with a capacity of 272 hp. Later, a version with all-wheel drive and two electric motors will probably appear. The estimated cost of the BYD Xia is 300,000 yuan (about $ 42,000).
