Turtle Beach feels confident in flight without the ROCCAT seal (which they acquired in 2019) and represents the second generation one of the best gaming mice market. New Burst II Air It promises the perfect combination of lightness, comfort and precision demanded by the most demanding players.

The San Diego firm presents the device in a discreet blue box with images of the mouse and some technical specifications. Even before opening, its lightness will surprise you. Inside we find a mouse, a 1.8 meter braided fabric cable, three pads in case we want to change the standard ones and side rubber pads to improve the grip if we consider it necessary.

Turtle Beach Burst II Air, technical characteristics

  • Dimensions 122.2mm x 67.3mm x 39.2mm. Weight 47 gr.
  • Bluetooth, cable, dual 2.4 GHz.
  • Right hand grip.
  • Optical switches Titan.
  • Exclusive Owl-Eye sensor. 26,000 DPI, 650 IPS.
  • 1000 Hz sampling
  • Up to 120 hours of autonomy (Bluetooth mode)
  • Cable 1.8 meters, knitted fabric.
  • Price: 89.99 euros.

The Burst Air II has a symmetrical design, with smooth ergonomics and no indentation on the right side, allowing you to rest your hand and adjust according to your preferences. There are users who like a large part of their hand to rest on the body of the mouse, and others who prefer to hold it from a greater distance, almost like a clamp. None of them will have adaptation problems with this product.

With weight 47 grams we stand face to face with one of the mice the lightest on the marketthis is very noticeable at first glance (especially if we come from old models or office mice like every Logitech MX). However, we will also have a pleasant feeling that the hand is more relaxed and the wrist suffers less during long gaming sessions thanks to the combination of extreme lightness and precision that reduces the need for movement.

The Burst Air II measures 122.2 x 67.3 x 39.2 mm, which is a standard size that may only be oversized for children or if we have very small hands. Patented sensor Owl’s eye It is responsible for turning our movements into actions with a speed of 650 IPS and a sensitivity of 26,000 dpi, which is much more than we will definitely ever need.

The mouse mounts on the exclusive iOptical switches Titan, accurate, with no parts to break with use, and which can exceed 100 million clicks.

a few years ago I would never recommend a wireless gaming mouse or high precision tasks. Fortunately, microsections and delays are a thing of the past and technology has advanced so much that the differences are almost imperceptible.

This Burst Air includes a two-line system which combines an exclusive one for gaming in the 2.4 GHz band (includes a USB dongle) that guarantees maximum performance with another via Bluetooth 5.2, ideal for navigation, office automation and any task that is not a demanding game, increases the autonomy of 40 to 120 hours of use.

To get the most out of this mouse, it’s essential to install the Swarm II software, an evolution of the ROCCAT classic that offers all the customization options you’d expect from a device in this category. I was impressed with the number of pre-configured macro profiles it includes, covering the most popular titles and saving valuable setup time.

Conclusions

New Turtle Beach Burst II Air It’s the perfect purchase to enhance your gaming experience. It is very light, comfortable, accurate and built to last. It has the support of a reference firm that guarantees constant updates and software that allows you to customize its behavior.

After a few weeks of use, it’s clear to me that it’s one of the most comfortable mice I’ve tried (and not just for gaming) and the 109 euros it costs is worth what it offers (any mouse of this quality is around 100 and weighs more). Some users may miss a few more buttons, although I understand that Turtle Beach kept the weight under control rather than adding it.
