WhatsApp will soon make it easier for users to organize conversations into personalized lists and find them faster thanks to filters.
WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to filter chats based on custom lists, WABetaInfo discovered in the source code. This feature is designed to help users find messages faster and manage their contacts and conversations. For example, with the WhatsApp Business app, companies can organize new leads, customer questions or payments more efficiently in a list and browse them faster thanks to the filter. The new feature is expected to be included in the next update.
The new, future feature of WhatsApp will allow users to organize their (group) conversations in personalized lists. In addition, it is possible to filter this list of people and group conversations again thanks to the automatically adjusted filter that WhatsApp adds to the list. This filter has the same name as the list, so users can quickly find the people or conversations added to that specific list.
WABetaInfo became aware of this new feature through the latest WhatsApp beta update 2.24.18.16 for Android, available on the Google Play Store. This allows users to better organize their personal conversations, but can also be very useful for companies using the WhatsApp Business app. It allows them to track new customers, transactions or specific questions more efficiently by categorizing them in specific lists.
This new feature will most likely be included in a future update.
