Kingston NV3 is a new series of hard drives from a manufacturer specializing in flash storage. It is a SSD with mass consumption which works for any type of PC and user and which is now scalable up to 4 TB of storage capacity.

This is helped by the fact that it is an SSD in the standard M.2 2280 format and design unilateral with memory located on one side only. This reduces its thickness, consumption and heat generation. which you already know is high in this type of solution. It doesn’t actually include a specific fridge, and you probably don’t need one. Another advantage of mounting the memory on one side is that the unit can be installed in any PC, desktop computer or even light notebooks.

Kingston retains the PCIe 4.0 interface used by the previous version of the series, the NV2. The goal is the same, to offer a basic SSD at a good price, but at the same time it is fast and has a good capacity. Let’s say a drive with a Phison driver achieves a data transfer rate of up to 6,000 / 5,000 Mbytes per second in sequential read/write mode. Let’s say it uses QLC memory without additional DRAM according to published reviews.

The manufacturer offers a 3-year warranty, total durability Write TB up to 1280 TB and a mean time between failures MTBF of up to 2 million hours. The NV3 will also include a free year of Acronis True Image software for convenient data migration and Kingston’s own SSD Manager application, which will allow users to monitor drive health and drive usage, update firmware or securely wipe data.

The Kingston NV3 is sold with a storage capacity of 500 GB, 1 and 2 TB, with new 4TB version which will be available in the last quarter of the year. Prices start from 47 euros and is available from major retailers such as PcComponentes.
