Windows 11 now offers a faster way to send files from your Windows PC to your Android device and vice versa.

Windows 11 is gradually gaining ground, albeit rather slowly. This new operating system regularly rolls out new features to make it easier for remaining Windows 10 users to get started. Windows 11 offers a new feature that lets you share files between your devices even faster.

Quick Share has long allowed users to share files between Windows PCs and Android devices. This new feature makes it even faster. We’ll explain step by step how this feature works.

Share files

Windows 11 once again brings a few new features, including a handy sharing feature that lets you quickly and easily share files between your Windows PC and your Android phone. To use this new feature, you’ll need Windows Update KB5041587. This is an optional update, so be sure to check if it’s already installed. Then you can start using the sharing feature.

  • Download Phone Link and Link to Windows

    To use the sharing option, you must first open the Phone Link app Download (Phone Link) from Microsoft and set it up in Windows. You can also download the Link to the Windows app on your Android device.

    You can then easily connect your device to your Microsoft account (you must use the same account on both devices), follow the steps provided or simply scan the QR code.

  • Share file

    Once you have installed the above apps, you can send a file to your Android device. To do this, go to the file Exploreclick on you right mouse button and select split. Then you can Telephone connection as the destination app. For the reverse process, from your Android device to your Windows PC, you can send files to your PC using the Link to Windows app.

    This way, you can send a file from your Windows PC to your Android device with just a few clicks.
