The D7 DMH sedan uses a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine with a maximum output of 82 kW (111 hp), while the D5X SUV uses a turbocharged 15FKE engine with a maximum output of 110 kW (150 hp). The turbocharged 15FKE engine uses the Miller cycle and has a thermal efficiency of 43%.

In tests conducted on Hainan Island earlier this year, the Roewe D5X covered a total of 1,621 km. Average fuel consumption is 3.8 l/100 km. The Roewe D5X uses a 21.5 kWh battery pack. The officially declared all-electric range using the CLTC measurement system is 135 km, and the total range is 1,300 km.

Skoda’s aim with the SAIC DMH system will be to produce cars that best meet the needs of Chinese consumers. While Skoda sold 341,000 vehicles in China in 2018, only 7,100 were sold in the first half of the year.
