Volvo officially unveiled flagship crossover XC90Despite the fact that the model was released in 2015, the company is not going to release a successor yet – this time everything was limited to moderate restyling.
This model underwent its first restyling in 2019, and it was not radical. Now the same thing happened: the crossover received an updated radiator grille, new headlights and interior decoration materials. Another innovation is an improved media system with a diagonal screen of 11.2 inches (previously it was 9 inches) and increased speed. The car has new window sills and a redesigned wireless charger for a smartphone.
The Volvo XC90 is now a hybrid only. At the top of the range is the T8 version with a 310 horsepower diesel engine and a 145 horsepower electric motor. The pure electric range is 70 km. For comparison, the Volkswagen Tiguan and Range Rover plug-in hybrids can travel 113 km on pure electric power.
Alternative power plants with a capacity of 250 and 300 hp. as part of “mild” hybrids. Volvo says that the sound insulation of these cars has been improved and the suspensions have been revised.
