Microsoft Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7

The party that started it all with the Copilot Plus PC label. Microsoft launched two models in June: Microsoft Surface Pro 11 and Microsoft Surface Laptop 7. Both are available in four colors: blue, silver, gold and black, and in September Microsoft launched identical models for business users.

With the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7, you can choose between two sizes: 13.8 inches or 15 inches. Only the smallest size can be equipped with the cheaper Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chip. Both screen sizes can be equipped with the theoretically faster Snapdragon X Elite chip. Maximum 16 GB RAM on the smallest model, up to 32 GB RAM on the 15-inch model.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 11 keeps the same 13-inch screen as before, but you can now choose between LCD (IPS) with Snapdragon X Plus or OLED with Snapdragon X Elite. 16GB of RAM is included as standard. The OLED variant can give you up to 32GB of RAM. The maximum storage is 1TB for each model.

The Microsoft Surface Pro starts at 1,199 euros for the LCD version. The OLED version is available from 1,799 euros. All prices quoted include VAT.

Microsoft considers PCs with an AMD Ryzen AI or Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor to be full-fledged AI PCs and will support them in the same way as the Snapdragon models. Starting in November, Microsoft will end the Copilot exclusivity for Qualcomm. No news yet on versions with AMD or Intel chips.

Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge

One name, three versions: 14 inches, 16 inches and now also 15 inches. The smallest version weighs just 1.16 kg and measures 10.9 mm at its thinnest point. This made it the thinnest and lightest Copilot Plus PC on the market when it was launched on June 18th, although there are now models that are under the symbolic 1 kilogram limit.

Both screen sizes feature a 16:10 3K OLED screen (500 nits peak, 120 Hz, touch). The only chips available are Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite. 16 GB of RAM is the only option, but you can still choose between 512 GB or 1 TB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy Book Edge 4

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge is available in the Benelux countries at a proud price of 1,487 euros for the 16-inch version. This device is also the last in its series, as Samsung already presented the new generation of the Edge Book 5 at the IFA. The honor goes to Intel with the Galaxy Book Pro 360.

MSI

Last but not least: MSI. The manufacturer doesn’t seem to be thrilled with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X, but is quick to jump in on AMD. Shortly after AMD’s announcement, MSI launched four new laptop models: Stealth A16+, Summit A16+, Prestige A16+ and Creator A16 AI+. During IFA, as with many of the brands mentioned above, a wave of Intel Core Ultra Series 2 models followed in the Prestige and Summit ranges.

The Prestige series laptops with Intel Core Ultra 2 are available in three sizes: 13, 14 and 16 inches. The Summit 13 AI+ Evo is the only Copilot+ model in its range. MSI goes one step further and has come up with a new product line specifically for the Intel Core Ultra Series 2: Venture. Prices and availability of these laptops on the European market are not yet known.
