TCL introduced its first products with NXTPAPER 3 technology, which automatically adapts the values of the device’s screens to the lighting conditions of the environment, reducing reflections and blue light emissions, making it easier to monitor the light indoors and outdoors.
The new TCL 50 smartphone variants were the first to get this NXTPAPER 3.0 technology. They have screens certified by TÜV, SGS and Eyesafe and are equipped with an integrated assistant for eye care. The goal is to promote healthy viewing habits by encouraging regular breaks and adjusting settings to protect the user’s vision and provide a safe and satisfying experience as we continue to increase our daily exposure to screens.
TCL 50 NXTPAPER 5G are equipped automatic color adjustments which adapt to the ambient light and guarantee a more comfortable and natural viewing in any situation thanks to the absence of glare and the sharpness of the brightness of 650 nits, its size 6.8 inches and its refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The manufacturer has also incorporated the NXTPAPER Key feature – previously exclusive to tablets – to smartphones as well. This key will convert the screen to format electronic inkdesigned to minimize eye fatigue. This mode facilitates long and comfortable reading by not only reducing distractions, but also silencing notifications, creating the ideal environment for immersing yourself in a good book. With Max Ink Mode activated, the battery lasts up to 7 days in reading mode and 26 days in standby mode.
TCL is launching the range in two high-end models to complement the current 50 range, both with a 108MP rear camera and a 32MP front lens. They use an octa-core MediaTek 6300 chipset and come with 512GB of storage. With Android 14 pre-installed, they will soon be available in Spain in two colors and respective prices 229 and 279 euros.
NXTPAPER 3 on tablets
Another product where TCL debuted its NXTPAPER 3 technology was tablet TCL NXTPAPER 14. It has a large 14.3-inch screen with 2K resolution, but its most remarkable part, like smartphones, is that this new tablet allows you to effortlessly switch from a full-color screen to a white and black e-reader mode (Max Inkoust), which facilitates concentration and makes certain tasks easier to read.
The TCL NXTPAPER 14 tablet uses a MediaTek Helio G99 as an engine, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage capacity and will soon be available in Spain with Android 14, a gray finish and a retail price 399.99 euros.
