Bypass Introduced a new version of the Hornet designed for racing Nitrocross Series 2024-2025The Hornet R/T FC1-X is a high-performance electric vehicle with four motors producing a total of 1,070 hp, enabling the all-wheel-drive beast to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.4 seconds.
The car got a great look, but it has little in common with the road car, as the Hornet R/T FC1-X is a two-door coupe with a huge rear wing and diffuser. The model received a tubular chassis, adjustable double-wishbone suspension and 12-inch wheel travel. The equipment package includes an Alcon brake system and adjustable anti-roll bars.
Dodge CEO Matt McAleer said Nitrocross is a “perfect fit” for the brand, with about 75% of its fans between the ages of 18 and 34. This gives the company an opportunity to introduce the Hornet to a young and enthusiastic new audience.
Dodge will field four cars through a partnership with the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing team, driven by Leah Block, Robin Larsson, Fraser McConnell and Andres Bakkerud.
