Just yesterday there was a rumor that GTA 6 has been delayed and will not launch on consoles until mid-2026 it’s just a rumoras well as many others that have appeared in recent months in an attempt to capitalize on the huge interest this franchise has among console and PC gamers, so we shouldn’t give it more importance than it has right now.

The only reality that remains today is the one offered to us by the CEO of Take-Two, the publisher of GTA 6. The executive said that the game will arrive at the end of 2025, specifically between the months September, October and November. So we are at worst a little over a year after its launch.

This is not to say that there is no possibility that this title will end up being delayed, of course it is possibleand even more so in a game of this calibre, as Rockstar will want to make sure they nail down even the tiniest detail and delay it rather than release it with issues or glitches, but at the moment there’s nothing official to suggest there’s a delay, so the end of 2025 is kept as the launch date.

GTA 6 coming to PC later, but when?

We don’t have official information yet, but based on the precedent we’ve seen with GTA V, the PC version is most likely to take some time. between 6 months and 1 year until arrival. This means that if GTA 6 for consoles launches in September 2025, the PC version could arrive between March and September 2026.

The PC version of GTA V only took five months to arrive after the release of the PS4 and Xbox One versions, so as I said before, the schedule makes a lot of sense. However, keep in mind that nothing is official about the PC version yet, so anything can happen.

The only thing I am absolutely sure of is that GTA 6 will come to PC sooner or later. We also have another precedent in Rockstar’s flagship game, Red Dead Redemption 2. Remember that Rockstar didn’t say anything about a possible PC version at the beginning, but eventually It ended up coming a year after the console version.

GTA 6 will evolve based on Xbox Series S technologyso its minimum requirements shouldn’t be too high and neither should the recommended ones as they should be PS5 equivalent. If you want to dive deeper into this topic, you can take a look at our special dedicated to the possible minimum and recommended requirements of GTA 6 on PC.

What can we expect from this version?

GTA 6 PC version should offer higher resolution, higher graphics quality and unlocked frames per second. Rockstar could also include ray tracing, although I doubt it, as this technology would be difficult in a game as large as this open world.

To improve performance, I believe that GTA 6 will be compatible with NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XeSS. Complete support would be ideal, i.e. both rescaling technology and image generation, and if full ray tracing was included, compatibility with DLSS Ray Reconstruction would also be recommended.

Other important things such as ultrawide monitor support and full customization of keyboard and mouse usage should also be present. The mouse will give us an advantage in aiming, although due to the issue of driving vehicles, I understand that many people prefer to play GTA with a controller.
