MSI introduces a new MS-CF13 Mini-ITX motherboard aimed at industrial edge applications that require power efficiency and reliability.
MSI launches a new motherboard tailored for industrial edge applications: the MS-CF13 Mini-ITX. The motherboard supports lightweight Intel Alder Lake-N processors and combines a fanless design with a low profile and low power consumption.
Efficiency
The MS-CF13 motherboard has a DDR5 SODIMM slot with support for up to 16 GB memory and offers connectivity via two 2.5 GbE LAN ports. Three independent display outputs (DP, HDMI/DP and LVDS/eDP) allow for the control of multiple displays. In addition, it has an M.2 E Key and an M.2 B Key (with SIM holder) for expansion options as well as a SATA 3.0 port for storage. A TPM 2.0 module is of course included, making the board compatible with Windows 11.
The 12V DC input makes the motherboard suitable for environments where a constant power supply is crucial. The motherboard is designed for fanless cooling, which means it is more reliable and requires less maintenance: useful for applications that need to run 24/7.
Thanks to its energy-efficient design and connectivity options, the MS-CF13 Mini-ITX is relevant for various industries:
- Digital signaling: The motherboard can drive multiple high-resolution displays simultaneously without causing noise pollution while keeping power consumption low.
- Medical equipment: The compact design and reliable performance make the MS-CF13 suitable for medical applications where space is limited and mechanical failures must be avoided.
- Edge computing: According to MSI, this motherboard is suitable for edge applications that require real-time data processing thanks to the Alder Lake-N chip.
- Security systems: For surveillance and video monitoring, the motherboard offers stable network connections and support for multiple displays.
