Visual Intelligence by Apple is one of the newly announced features by Apple that is part of the Apple Intelligence Suite. This tool allows you to take photos of your surroundings and then identify the object. This feature is made possible by the camera control, a camera button on the side of the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro phones. To activate this, you have to click and hold the button.
Not for EU users
The feature will be available on the new iPhone 16 in the fall, but not for EU users. In protest against the Digital Markets Act (DMA) rules, where Apple is designated as a gatekeeper and must follow strict rules, Apple decided a few months ago not to launch Apple Intelligence in the EU. The company recently reverted to this. We will still see some of Apple Intelligence in Europe, but only for macOS users.
