Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a strategic partnership that will make Oracle Autonomous Database available on AWS, breaking the long-standing rivalry between the two companies.

The new offering, Oracle Database@AWS, enables customers to use Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Exadata Database Service on AWS infrastructure. This partnership provides an integrated experience between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS. This simplifies database management, billing, and customer support. In addition, users can seamlessly connect their data from Oracle databases to applications on AWS such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and AWS Analytics, including AI solutions such as Amazon Bedrock.

This partnership combines Oracle’s data management capabilities with the flexibility and security of AWS. It also provides customers with low latency through a fast interface between Oracle databases and AWS applications. This improves the performance and scalability of workloads. The collaboration also facilitates data transfer by eliminating ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
