The SAIC Volkswagen joint venture has brought to the Chinese market a new generation of Passat sedans: the regular Passat 2025 Outstanding Edition and the Passat Pro 2025. The Passat Pro 2025 received three screens in the cabin; only the most powerful 2.0-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of. 220 hp. and a new top performance at a considerable price of $ 43,500. But the basic versions of the cars are much cheaper – $ 22,500 for the regular Passat and $ 26,700 for the Passat Pro.

Each of these models has two options for front and rear design. The first is the Pioneer Edition, which has a large air intake decorated in the form of long horizontal bars (like the previous generation Camry), and in the Starry Sky Edition the air intake is decorated with a large mesh.

Dimensions are 5006x1850x1489 mm, wheelbase length is 2871 mm. Compared with the European version, the wheelbase of the “Chinese” has been increased by 30 mm.

The Passat Pro 2025 interior has three screens: a 10.3-inch screen in front of the driver, a 15-inch screen with 2K resolution as part of the media system and an 11.6-inch screen in front of the front passenger. The media system runs on the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155, the amount of RAM and flash memory is 12 GB and 128 GB, respectively.

The Passat Pro is also equipped with wireless charging for a smartphone, three-zone climate control, a panoramic roof, 16-speaker Harman Kardon acoustics and 30-color ambient lighting.

All Chinese Passats of the 2025 model year are equipped with a 2.0-liter EA888 gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 220 hp. The engine is combined with a branded 7-speed “robot” DSG. The sedan accelerates to 100 km / h in 7.6 seconds, and the average fuel consumption is 6.87 l / 100 km.
