The launch, broadcast live on Russian television, took place at 16:23 Moscow time from the cosmodrome Baikonur, Kazakhstan, using a launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1a.

The ship will dock with the ISS via the so-called accelerated route. after 3 hours 10 minutes of flight and a complete one two trips around the Earth.

The current crew of the orbital platform is 16 people. three Russians, 10 Americans and three Chinesethey will join Ovchinin, Wagner and Pettit, which represents a new attendance record for the ISS.

In accordance with RoscosmosRussian Space Agency, spacecraft crew Soyuz M-26 in total 202 days and will return to Earth on April 1, 2025.

The mission program includes the implementation 42 scientific experiments.

Next December Ovchinin and Wagner will conduct spacewalk among other things, for install the spectrometer on the body of the Zvezda module, Russian segment of the ISS.
