Bentley unveils the most powerful sedan in its history – Flying Spur 2025

The 2025 Flying Spur is Bentley’s most powerful sedan yet. Its new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine develops 771 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, outpacing the current W12. It has a 19% increase in power and 11% increase in torque over the previous model, and sprints to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds – half a second quicker than the outgoing car.

Alongside the V8 is a 25.9 kWh battery, enough for a range of 75 km at speeds of up to 140 km/h on electric drive. The Flying Spur will have a total range of 828 km.

Four driving modes are offered: Pure EV, Electric Boost, Regenerative Braking and Charging. In Charging mode, the petrol engine is used to turn the wheels and recover energy, but you can also connect to charger 2. The Flying Spur charges in two hours and 45 minutes at 11 kW.

Bentley’s new Active Chassis system is standard on the Flying Spur and combines adaptive suspension with fully power steering, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and retuned ESC software.

Buyers can add the aerodynamic Design Specification package, available in carbon fiber or a new-for-2025 body color. The Flying Spur will offer 101 different hues to choose from.

Standard equipment includes a 10-speaker, 650W sound system, but buyers can upgrade to a 16-speaker, 1500W Bang & Olufsen system with active bass transducers built into the front seats, or a 19-speaker, 2200W system. The 2024 Flying Spur starts at around $217,000, but Bentley hasn’t yet announced pricing for the 2025 model.
