Corsair managed to turn their RMx resources into a clear reference in its market, and the truth is that it is more than deserved, because with each update of the same, with the arrival of new models, we could see that the development is huge, even if they already started from a more than remarkable position. And this, along with the fact that these types of renovations occur frequently, means that they have been one of the first options to consider for some time in many cases.
In this case, we are facing a renovation that is carried out in order to adopt new industry standards, more specifically ATX 3.1 and also native ATX 12V-2×6 connectors from his hand. As you may already know, ATX 3.1 includes several improvements and changes aimed at improving energy efficiency, compatibility with more current components (such as the most demanding graphics cards), improving compatibility with other current specifications such as PCIe 5.1improved cable management… in short, we are facing a significant improvement in the specification that governs the power supplies of the vast majority of PCs.
So the Corsair RMx sources in the 2024 versions that have been announced are l750 W, 850 W and 1000 W models, all are now compatible with these standards. Of course, as it could not be otherwise, the certification is shared by everyone 80 plus goldand they also have an A sound rating, meaning they remain as quiet as their predecessors even at maximum output.
Further along this line, Corsair has introduced a distinctive and practical element to these new RMx power supplies, a control on the back (the one that is visible from the outside) that users can use to override the power supply’s automatic control functions if they wish. , until manual fan speed control. A surprising innovation, but one that will undoubtedly find many uses when it begins to reach users.
Another important innovation, as I already mentioned, is compatibility with new native connectors ATX 12V-2×6essential for some of today’s most demanding graphics cards and aiming to become more popular with the arrival of their new generations. And of course, as is common in this family, it adds a native 2×6 connection to the modular design, which allows us to place only the cables we really need in the system.
The new Corsair RMx power supplies are available now on the Corsair website, with prices starting at 154.90 euros.
