Microsoft has released numerous cumulative updates for the operating system as part of the traditional monthly update on Tuesdays (Tuesday Patch). Updates are available for veteran veterans like Windows 11, Windows 10, and even Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

As part of the Tuesday, June 2022 Patch, the company patched 55 vulnerabilities, including three critical vulnerabilities that allowed attackers to execute code remotely.

The Windows 11 update (KB501469) brings not only security fixes and debugging, but also a new Windows Spotlight feature for the desktop. Previously, this feature was available as an option, but now it is available to all users.

Windows Spotlight automatically replaces the background of the lock screen with beautiful photos and images, and sometimes shows special offers. Now beautiful wallpapers chosen by Microsoft are available not only on the lock screen, but also on the desktop. The widget display is also optimized when using multiple monitors.

As for Windows 10, update KB5014699 released for versions 21H1 and 21H2 are the only versions of Windows 10 Home and Pro that continue to be supported by the company. Here, care was taken to correct vulnerabilities and errors.

Updates KB5014742 and KB5014746 are available for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. They fix security vulnerabilities.

Recall that support for Windows 8.1 will continue until early 2023, free support is no longer available for Windows 7. Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7 two years ago on January 14, 2020. For enterprise users, Microsoft offers paid extended support for Windows 7. Users can receive security updates under the Windows 7 ESU (Extended Security Updates) until January 2023. In 2021, the price of this service increased to $50 per computer, and in 2022 to $100 per computer.
