Salesforce launches Agentforce: AI that justifies

Salesforce presents Agentforce. Agentforce is a new implementation of AI that can think better and more autonomously.

On the eve of Dreamforce, Salesfoce is launching a major new AI implementation: Agentforce. According to the CRM specialist, the solution must represent the future of AI and outperform copilots. The announcement did not come completely out of the blue. After all, Salesforce introduced the Einstein Service Agent in July.

Human thinking

This service agent turned out to be the vanguard of a flood of agents. Agentforce is the collective term for all AI-driven agents. These agents can securely access data in the Salesforce Data Cloud, but also work with APIs and integrate with third-party platforms. They are characterized by the Atlas Reasoning Enginewhich Salesforce itself developed.

The engine approaches questions in a human way. First, a request is evaluated and, if necessary, refined with further questions. The engine then retrieves relevant and reliable data. The system then creates an implementation plan to implement the specified task.

Salesforce views agents as a type of AI-powered intern, capable of taking over everyday tasks from employees. Unlike a co-pilot, an agent doesn’t need a prompt to act. Just like an intern, an agent is ready to perform their task when it’s relevant.

Ready-made or self-built

The box contains various pre-built active ingredients. Among other things, they take on extended chatbot functions, can simulate prospective customers so that salespeople can refine their pitch, or act as a personal assistant for customers. The big difference to existing solutions is the broader possibilities, which are inspired by the Atlas engine. The agents do not get stuck on less specific high-level questions, but can handle them autonomously.

Users are not limited to pre-built agents; they can create or refine automations themselves using a low-code platform.

After all, Agentforce is not only the name for the entire solution, but also the name for the further development of the Einstein Copilot. This is Agentforce, which in turn is integrated into the Salesforce platform.

Availability

Agentforce for Service and Sales will be available starting October 25 of this year, but certain Atlas Engine features will not be available to the general public until February. The standard price is two dollars per call.
