Will it stay or won’t it stay? When it comes to the Control Panel, Microsoft doesn’t seem to be able to make the decision. This is bad news for those who have long relied on the application to customize Windows. Microsoft would prefer that everyone goes to the InstitutionsApp is being migrated. Although the application is user-friendly, it lacks more experienced users precisely because the application has to be usable by the general public.

There is a solution, and it’s called God Mode. If you become the god of your Windows computer, you will have access to all settings organized according to the applets of the Control Panel. However, God Mode is well hidden: There is neither a button nor a switch. You have to conjure it up yourself, as befits a god.

  • Make sure you are strong

First, check if you have sufficient rights to become a god. You must be logged into your Windows 11 computer with an account that has administrator rights. You can check this by looking at the old Institutions-app, below Accounts. Look under your name or there Administrator helps.

  • Space for the button

Then go to your desktop and right-click on an empty space. Here we will create the button. Select New and then Folder to create a new folder.

  • transformation

We will now convert the new folder into a God Button. You do this by changing its name. Copy the following string and paste it into the name field: GodMode. {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. Copy the contained string GodMode And don’t worry, the word will automatically disappear when you paste it.

  • Play with your powers

The folder will suddenly become an icon with no name. Click on it to activate divine mode. You can navigate to useful places like the Device managementthe printer settings, you can BitLocker manage, with Date and time Getting started and more.

Is God Mode revolutionary? Maybe not, but the application is useful for those who are familiar with the Control Panel layout. All the important Windows settings are suddenly back in their usual place, saving search time.
