Sean Combs, known as Diddy, has been arrested after a grand jury indicted him on unspecified charges.

The rapper was arrested in New York on Monday evening and taken into custody at the FBI’s Manhattan office.

While it is still unclear why he was arrested, at least eight civil lawsuits have been filed against him over the past year, including a rape and abuse lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Combs is also under federal criminal investigation after authorities raided his home in March.

The latest lawsuit against her was filed last week by a former singer Danity Kane, Don Richardwho claimed that Combs “manipulated” her into thinking that “abuse and exploitation were necessary for female artists to succeed in the music industry.”

He also claims to have witnessed the singer abusing Ventura on multiple occasions.
