Google has released a series of updates for its ubiquitous browser ChromiumIt targets both individual users and companies. Its focus is on improving ease of use and optimizing workflows across desktop, Android and iOS devices.

One of the most important features that received an update is the tab grouping feature Chromium. Previously, users could manually save these groups and sync them across devices. Whether you’re using a desktop, Android phone, or iPhone, Google now lets you turn on automatic syncing.

This seamless transition eliminates the hassle of manual saving, allowing your research projects, purchases, or open articles to follow you seamlessly across devices. So if you’re researching a topic on your laptop, you can pick up your phone later and pick up where you left off with all the relevant tabs.

Google is also currently testing a new feature that intelligently suggests web pages you might want to browse. Essentially, Chrome analyzes the tabs you have open on one device and suggests similar websites to open on other devices.

For example, Chrome might offer to open the same news website you’re reading on your desktop in a new tab on your phone. This is for users who switch between multiple devices throughout the day. No more bookmarking your history or frantically searching; just rely on Chrome’s suggested prompts to pick up where you left off.

On the business side, the Chrome update is aimed at Google Workspace users. There’s a brand new feature that shows the user’s daily calendar when you open a new tab.

This will allow employees to quickly check schedules or access virtual meetings without having to launch the full Calendar app. According to Google, this feature will gradually roll out to Workspace users. Overall, the new update adds some features to Chrome to improve the quality of life for personal and professional users.
