According to the head of the NSDC Center for Combating Disinformation, Andrii Kovalenko, Ukrainian citizens will be banned from using Telegram from now on.

Who should not use Telegram?

Therefore, installing the Russian messenger on official devices is not possible for civil servants, military personnel and critical infrastructure workers.

Only those for whom the use of this messenger is part of official duties will be an exception.

At the same time, the ban does not apply to personal smartphones.

Why do you need Telegram restriction?

Kovalenko stressed that sending business documents via Telegram from work devices carries risks.

Representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that Telegram is actively used by the enemy for cyberattacks, phishing and malware distribution, geolocation of users, missile strike correction, etc.
