Zoom Video Communications and Mitel partner to offer a hybrid cloud solution focused on business communications and productivity.
Zoom becomes the exclusive communications solution within Mitel’s Unified Communications (UC) offering. This new partnership combines the features of Zoom Workplace and Zoom AI Companion with Mitel’s existing communications platform to meet the growing demand from companies for hybrid UC solutions.
This integration gives Mitel users access to the entire Zoom Workplace platform, providing a seamless experience with no additional software installations, support for mobile apps, hardware integrations, and centralized user management. Additionally, customers can use Zoom Phone with both on-premises and cloud-based Mitel systems.
The partnership will enable more than 70 million Mitel users worldwide to continue using their existing communications systems while taking advantage of additional features such as meetings, chat and Zoom AI Companion, tools designed to improve collaboration and productivity in hybrid work environments.
According to Eric S. Yuan, CEO of Zoom, it is crucial that companies have access to reliable, AI-driven UC solutions that meet the changing needs of users. Tarun Loomba, CEO of Mitel, also emphasizes the importance of flexibility and customer-centric solutions in modern business environments.
The joint solution is expected to be available in the first half of 2025, with additional features to be rolled out gradually.
