Skoda Kodiaq Armored Designed to provide maximum safety in extreme situations. From the outside, the Skoda Kodiaq Armoured is almost no different from the standard Kodiaq, but it has armoured glass and a body to protect against bullets and grenade explosions. During tests, the car’s body and glass successfully stopped more than 200 bullets.
The car is equipped with special shock absorbers designed for the increased weight of an armored vehicle. They allow the car to adequately respond to driver commands in a wide speed range.
To ensure the Kodiaq Armored can continue to move in the event of a puncture, all four wheels are equipped with a system that prevents the tyre from coming off the rim, even if the tyre is deflated. This system allows the driver to maintain control of the vehicle.
Other features included in the design include emergency lighting and siren system, as well as a communication center with an 8-inch touchscreen, GPS, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions.
The new Kodiaq Armored replaces the Superb Armored, of which around 500 units have been sold worldwide since its launch in 2018. The Kodiaq Armored is fully compliant with the PAS 300 and PAS 301 civil armoured vehicle standards.
Available in a five-seat version, the vehicle has a luggage capacity of over 2,000 litres. As with the Superb Armoured, customers can choose from a variety of powertrain options as well as all-wheel drive.
