Lenovo is developing new versions to expand its line of portable consoles. And he does it twiceon the one hand the new Legion Go Lite and on the other hand the second generation Legion Go we know. Both were confirmed by Lenovo on the accessories page.

It turns out that Lenovo is promoting the latest accessory to launch for its consoles, the Legion Go Dock, which, as its name suggests, acts as a charging dock and has additional ports, USB Type-C, HDMI, Ethernet LAN and two USB Type-A .And some employee missed (or not, you already know how interesting leaks go) information about supported models. As you’ll see in the following image, captured by the guys at Videocardz, there are two consoles confirmed to be in development.

Legion Go Lite

Legion Go Lite

In an effort to bring its portable consoles to more users, Lenovo would bet on a “Lite” version that would change a lot and in every part from the current machine. News would start in its own design, with integrated, non-removable controls and a smaller 7-inch screen. Yes, it would retain its hardware engine, the AMD Ryzen Z1, which, even if it wasn’t the Extreme version, is a guarantee.

An interesting machine, as its smaller size would reduce weight and thickness and certainly also allow for increased autonomy, which is a pain point in all handheld gaming machines. And the best part: a price that would necessarily have to be much cheaper.

Legion Go 2nd Gen

The Legion Go is a fantastic machine. Personally, it is one of the portable consoles that I like the most because of the large screen, the mentioned AMD Z1 SoC and its design with those removable drivers “inspired” by the Switch.

The second generation would stick to the same concept in design and we assume the screen. The changes would be inside with a semi-custom SoC Ryzen Z2updated with an 8-core Zen5 processor and RDNA 3.5 graphics with up to 16 computing units (Strix Point APU), which promises a 33% improvement compared to the previous generation.

We believe that this second generation will not be available until the first quarter of 2025. The Legion Go Lite would arrive earlier, in time to sell at a good pace during the Christmas holidays.
