Intel is facing a difficult situation, although we already told you in early August that it did the right thing after discovering the problems. This brings us to what I said at the beginning, which is that with your main rival in this difficult situation, AMD has just announced that the Ryzen 9700X/9600X warranty covers their use if used with a TDP of 105 watts40 watts above what is listed in the specs of both chips.

This reaffirms what we’ve been saying for months, and that’s it AMD has been very conservative in determining the TDP of both chipsand therefore there was plenty of room for growth. And by officially extending the warranty, you’re making it clear that you trust that these Ryzens can operate completely safely at 40 watts above their specs, otherwise they wouldn’t risk a move like this.

By temporarily “touching” Intel in terms of overclocking, AMD has crowned itself in this sense as a suitable platform by providing a guarantee to users who practice it, if they stay within the maximum TDP set by the technology. A feat which, well managed, may attract more users looking for safe overclocking.
