Vice Presidential Candidates in the US Presidential Election, Democratic Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz and Republican Senator from Ohio, JD Vancesaid Tuesday in their first debate on immigration, and both pointed to their bosses as to blame for the crisis.

Vance accused the vice president and the Democratic candidateKamala Harris as the person in charge of the border between the United States and Mexico during the administration of current President Joe Biden.

“The only thing she did when she became vice president, when she became the designated border king, was reverse Donald Trump’s 94 executive actions that opened the border.” – Vance said.

However, Vance did not directly answer a question about whether he would support separating children from their parents at the southern US border. “My point is that We already have mass separations of children, thanks to Kamala Harris’ open border,” he said.

The senator also accused Harris of allow cartels to “operate freely in this country” claiming they are using minors to smuggle drugs into the country.

While Walz decided to take aim at Trump boycott bipartisan border bill when the Republicans were in opposition.

The governor also said that the former president promised before arriving in the Oval Office that he would build a “big, beautiful wall” and that Mexico would pay for it, but during his four years in office he only “Less than 2% of this wall was built, and Mexico didn’t pay a cent.”

The Democratic vice presidential candidate also criticized Vance for “demonize” immigrants referring to his accusation that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio were eating residents’ pets.

Both Vance and Walz wanted to continue talking about US immigration, although the moderators wanted to move on to another topic – the economy, so CBS decided to mute the candidates’ microphones.

The channel specified in its rules that each candidate’s microphone would be unmuted for 90 minutes of the event, but CBS He could mute the microphones “if necessary.”
