The well-known communication platform is adding a new feature that allows users to change their background during video calls. WhatsApp adds ten different backgrounds and ten filters to make your video call more attractive. The effects will be made available to everyone in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp is adding a new feature that lets you make video calls your own. Soon you’ll be able to add backgrounds and effects during your video call. This means you’ll never have to worry about a messy or unprofessional background again.

There are ten backgrounds to choose from: Haze, Living Room, Office, Stones, Foodie, Blend, Beach, Sunset, Party and Forest. In addition, you can also apply filters, these are: warm, cool, black and white, light leaks, dreamy, prism light, fisheye, vintage TV, frosted glass and duotone.

To really boost your confidence, WhatsApp also adds retouching and low-light options. The feature will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
