LG Electronics has announced the first ultra-low latency Bluetooth controller (BT ULL) industry. It was developed in collaboration with Razer and MediaTek and was unveiled at the LG webOS Summit 2024.

This is the second year of the event where LG shared its strategic vision and future initiatives to expand the AI-based webOS ecosystem and grow its platform. with a theme “Powering webOS with AI”the conference hosted around 300 participants representing 140 partner companies, including developers, producers and content providers, from 24 countries.

The event also marked an important milestone: tenth anniversary running webOS on LG smart TVs. LG also collaborated with Chinese semiconductor giant MediaTek to develop BT ULL technology and integrate it into MediaTek’s “MT7921” Wi-Fi chipset. The first LG OLED TVs and LG QNED TVs with integrated BT ULL technology, in addition to supporting a refresh rate of 120Hz or higher, are expected to be launched in 2025.
