Google revives the spirit of Inbox and Google Now with some features New information cards for our Gmail emails. They’re prettier, more interactive, and overall better.

Get ready to see many more visual email digest cards Unlike the existing ones, it shows information about your next flight, your reservation, tracking your package, or your next bill that is about to expire.

New summary cards in Gmail

For a long time, Gmail has been extract relevant information from some emails to give us a summary at the top. This is part of Gmail’s smart features that you can enable (or not) for each account you set up in the app.

These summaries have now evolved as follows: much more visual and interactive cards. Not only do they have a new design that includes an image, but they also include more functionality in the form of buttons with corresponding actions.

For example, on a card about a reservation at a restaurant, buttons to call the restaurant or change the reservationWe will have a button on the package shipping card to track it or on the boarding card to check in. These cards from the future are published in four email categories:

• Shopping: with shipment tracking and order information.
• Events: such as restaurant reservations or concert tickets. These events can be viewed on the calendar and directions to the location can be obtained.
• Invoices: Information about upcoming invoices and reminders to pay them in Google Tasks.
• Trips: reservation management, check-in and flight information as well as hotel reservation information.

Google says these new cards are now available to Gmail users on Android and iOS. starting with a new style for shopping emails. Summaries for trips, events and invoices will be combined later.

And the changes won’t end there because Gmail will then collect these four categories of information to present to you a summary will happen soon (or “coming soon”) emails that mention events that will happen, such as a package arriving in the next few days.
