Amazon has announced a new version of its Fire HD 8 tablet. Its launch coincides with the retailer’s new Prime Day campaign and is precisely targeted as a 50% off promotion that keeps the version at very low prices. $54.99.

Amazon has some of the most attractive electronic tablets on the market when considering their price/feature ratio. But it needs more, and the new tablet could be the star of the e-commerce giant’s own-brand devices for its new deals campaign.

Fire HD 8 tablet, basic but super economical

The new version retains the 8-inch IPS touchscreen with a native resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. With an 8-core ARM SoC, Amazon RAM increased by 50%while the model will continue to be served in two versions according to storage capacity, 32 and 64 GB.
