Of course, it is not possible to know everything, but it is useful to remember at least the most important ones. It is not new, but it will

Of course, it is not possible to know everything, but it is useful to remember at least the most important ones.

It is not new, but it will not be obsolete in the coming years: Big Data

Big Data, in its simplest form, is processing data and making sense of it. Data is first analyzed, classified, processed and thus converted into useful information sources in a meaningful form.

Digital Twins are used in many areas, from aviation and aerospace to the healthcare sector.

A digital twin is an exact copy of a physical object or system in a digital environment. It allows monitoring the performance, status and behavior of objects in the virtual environment by collecting and analyzing data simultaneously with the object in the real world.

To summarize with an example; A digital twin of an aircraft engine is used in a virtual environment by capturing real-time data from the engine. In this way, the engine’s performance is continuously monitored, possible problems can be detected and maintenance work can be planned in advance.

Internet of Things (IoT) – Internet of Things, which is increasingly part of our daily lives

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network that allows devices connected to the Internet to collaborate by sharing data with each other. These devices collect information from their environment via sensors and software, analyze it and transfer this information to other devices.

Let’s give another example: an IoT system in a smart home connects the thermostat, lighting and security cameras. This way you can adjust the temperature with your phone or control your security cameras when you are not at home.

An umbrella term for AR, VR, MR: Extended Reality (XR)

Extended Reality (XR) is an umbrella term that combines augmented, virtual and mixed reality technologies to provide interactive and rich experiences between the digital and physical worlds.

We use the word a lot, but how well do we know what it is? algorithm

An algorithm is a series of step-by-step instructions followed to solve a specific problem or perform a task. Each step determines how operations are performed and typically takes one or more inputs and performs operations on those inputs to produce one or more outputs.

To explain with a simple but beautiful example that is often given: a recipe is an algorithm that explains step by step the preparation and cooking of certain ingredients and produces a result as a result of this input.

You are invited to Türkiye Innovation Week 2024 to understand all these concepts and many more in the best way and talk about innovation and technology with experts!
