Bloodborne Remaster is highly scalable, works even on an old PC

The development of Bloodborne Remaster continues at a good pace and the progress made is simply impressive. I have already told you in previous articles that this project includes improvements that are for increasing the resolution and unlocking frames per second, such as the introduction of improved anti-aliasing, dynamic shadows and highlights, and improved textures.

Today I can confirm another improvement, namely the introduction of a project manager lights in small candles which can be found in some scenarios. This improves immersion, but of course affects performance. The video is quite extensive and touches on other topics such as improvements that have been made in other scenarios and possible options at the optimization level.

And speaking of optimization, the truth is that the level achieved in this sense is simply impressive. I told you a while ago that I could see Bloodborne being emulated on a mid-range PC equipped with a Radeon RX 6600, but thanks to the work done at the optimization level, this game can now be emulated with some fluidity. on an old PC that is considered low-end today.

In the video you can see how Bloodborne works on a PC with a configuration Intel Core i5-4440 with 14 GB RAM and GeForce GTX 960 with 2 GB of graphics memory. It’s really impressive and quite an achievement that highlights the optimization possibilities that this emulator presents. It is very likely that the emulation will eventually be perfect on computers that have a GeForce GTX 970 and a fourth generation Intel Core or a first generation Ryzen with at least four cores.

Of course, I’m talking about the standard version emulated without changes, i.e. about original. In order to enjoy this Bloodborne Remaster with mods that will improve the quality of the graphics, a more powerful PC will be required, as all these mods will have a significant effect on performance. All in all, I think after seeing all the progress that has been made, we have reason to be optimistic and expect good performance even with the mods installed.

The emulation isn’t perfect yet, but it’s a work in progress, and if everything goes as it did before may it be done soon and that before Christmas we will finally find a Bloodborne that is fully playable on PC, with no emulation issues and with the ability to remaster it thanks to all the mods I mentioned earlier.
