Having battery life as long as possible is something every user wants. Most of us know the 80% rule; Very fast charges are completely not recommended for daily use, and after two years mobile phone batteries often show significant wear.

Companies like Apple have long been providing extra information to know the exact state of our battery: the health figure. Buy 100% and see how it drops month by month. It’s an app that seems to be becoming trendy. Or at least Xiaomi thinks so.

Apple has been displaying health data as a percentage since iOS 11 in 2017. Xiaomi wanted to join this offer and the Xiaomi 14T Pro became the company’s first terminal that now shows battery health, as we read in Xataka Android. .

HyperOS already offers this improved battery-related information in version 1.0.11.0, so it is expected that many of the company’s terminals will be able to access this function.

After years of using the iPhone as a personal cell phone, I can assure you that battery health is a double-edged sword. The first reason is that the decrease is not linear, that is, even if we use it in a similar way all the time, the percentage will not decrease by a certain amount every month.

Usually the battery stays at 100% for a few months and then drops until it reaches 80/85%. In this range the battery usually becomes somewhat stable, and at these figures we can even exceed a year of use with the battery.

Once the battery drops below 80% as stated by the manufacturers, it needs to be replaced as it is nearing the end of its lifespan.
