According to an investigation by The Shadowserver, around fifty Zimbra servers in Belgium are vulnerable to a serious security breach. Germany and the USA stand out with around 1,600 vulnerable servers. An alert about this vulnerability was sent out earlier this month. The vulnerability is exploited by simply sending an email with malicious code in the CC field. Zimbra released patches last month. Organizations are recommended to apply the security updates.
According to an investigation by The Shadowserver, 50 Zimbra servers in Belgium are vulnerable to a major security breach. Zimbra and the Digital Trust Center warned about this vulnerability earlier this month. The leak has a maximum severity of 10.0 and is referred to as CVE-2024-45519.
In Belgium, around fifty Zimbra servers are said to be affected by the vulnerability, in the Netherlands there are 223. In Germany and the USA there are already 1,600 Zimbra servers. Zimbra has already released patches last month, versions 9.0.0 Patch 41, 10.0.9, 10.1.1 and Zimbra 8.8.15 Patch 46. Companies are now being asked to implement the necessary security updates.
