Orange may no longer offer products under the VOO brand name. The shops would also close.

According to L-Post, both the marketing and distribution of products under the product name VOO would disappear completely in September 2025. The thirteen branches will be gradually closed once their leases expire. Employees can work in Orange branches. There would be no change for existing customers.

Last year there was euphoria, now the brand is being discontinued

At the end of 2021, Orange was still exclusively at the negotiating table with the Walloon cable network. Telenet didn’t have this chance. These negotiations proved successful as Orange took over VOO in June last year and acquired 75% of the shares. Orange is thus developing into a national telecommunications provider and declares itself the market leader in gigabit Internet.

To further strengthen its offering, Orange is joining forces with Telenet for fifteen years. The Mechelen-based telecommunications provider will have access to VOO’s Walloon networks, while Orange will be able to use the fiber optic network.

However, the VOO brand now seems to have completely disappeared from the market. The impact of this decision on Orange and Telenet remains unclear for the time being. Both Orange and VOO do not want to react to the news reports for the time being.
