Apple has officially added the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle to its worldwide obsolete list. Repairs and other services for these devices are no longer available at Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers. According to the company’s policy, a product is considered “obsolete” if seven years have passed since it was last shipped.

Apple introduced the latest variants of the seventh-generation iPod Nano and fourth-generation iPod Shuffle in 2015 and discontinued them altogether in 2017. Once identified as “obsolete,” the device is no longer eligible for repair at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider, outside of the 10-year replacement window for MacBook batteries.

iPhone 6 also joined the list of obsolete Apple products today. The company has already announced its big “brother” iPhone 6 Plus The smaller iPhone 6, which was “outdated” in April, has been on sale for longer through sellers in some countries, so it is now just “outdated”.

Also today, Apple added the 2017 model 12-inch MacBook and the sixth-generation iPad to its list of vintage products. Apple considers a device “vintage” if it has been five years since the company stopped selling it. Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers will continue to service “vintage” products for the next two years, subject to parts availability.
