Introduced Dacia Bigster with four-wheel drive and economical engines

Dacia officially introduced its largest crossover — Dacia Bigster. It is 240mm longer than the real one Duster third generation The length of the machine is 4570 mm, width 1810 mm, height 1710 mm. The wheelbase is 2700 mm, so Bigster is a full-fledged crossover of the C segment.

Externally, the Bigster looks like an extended Duster. In terms of equipment, the car is quite modern – there is an electric trunk lid drive, panoramic roof, wireless charging for a smartphone, adaptive cruise control, electric adjustment of the driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control. There are two screens – both 10 inches. One works as part of the media system, the other is installed in front of the driver, displaying instrument cluster readings.

Bigster became the first model in the Dacia series to receive the Hybrid 155 hybrid power plant, whose name reflects power. This is a regular plug-in hybrid. The power plant has a gasoline engine, two electric motors and a traction battery with a capacity of 1.4 kWh. The car has an interesting transmission with four gears for the gasoline engine and two for the electric motors. Equipped with this power plant, the Bigster always starts in fully electric mode. The company guarantees that 80% of the time in the city is powered by electricity.

The alternative to such a complex system is the “mild” TCe 140 hybrid based on a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine. The transmission is a 6-speed manual, front-wheel drive, but you can have all-wheel drive for an additional fee.

The third ECO-G 140 power unit is for those who really drive a lot and travel long distances. There is also a 1.2-liter turbo engine. The machine is equipped with a 49-liter cylinder for liquefied gas and a 50-liter tank for gasoline. Total range is 1450 km. There is no diesel engine in the Bigster engine series. The Bigster will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show next week. Prices will be announced in January 2025, and sales will start in April 2025.
