Zoom is expanding its AI Companion with new task management features and personalized AI services. Thanks to AI, the platform now offers an advanced workplace experience.
Zoom unveiled new AI features for its work platform at Zoomtopia 2024, including Zoom AI Companion 2.0. This update enables integration of information from various Zoom and external applications such as Outlook and Gmail, helping users streamline their workflow.
The AI Companion provides personalized suggestions and executes tasks in context to ensure a more efficient workday. A new optional add-on is also available for advanced customizations, such as integrating corporate data and external applications such as Asana and Workday.
Task management and customizations
In addition to AI Companion, Zoom is also launching Zoom Tasks, a tool that uses AI to identify, recommend and complete tasks based on communications in Zoom Workplace. Users can use this feature to manage and complete their tasks throughout the day without interrupting their workflow.
With the new add-on, companies can further personalize the AI Companion, for example with corporate dictionaries or by automating actions via other tools. The add-on, available starting in the first half of 2025, costs $12 per user per month.
These updates and features are available to users with a paid Zoom Workplace subscription at no additional cost.
