Elon Musk and Tesla introduced a long-awaited innovation; The vehicle was called Tesla CyberCab. Currently, Tesla is preparing for mass production, which should only start in 2026. Although Elon Musk quickly warned that he might be overly optimistic and production could be delayed until 2027.

Tesla CyberCab looks a bit like a scaled-down Cybertruck. Tesla says this is a robot taxi that can be purchased for less than $30,000. The car was originally designed without a steering wheel or pedals. For this reason, Tesla will not be able to start production and sales to customers without first obtaining permission from regulatory authorities.

The manufacturer has not yet disclosed details about the car’s power plant. However, Tesla has confirmed that the company plans to start rolling out a new version of its fully autonomous driving system next year. In this version, the driver will not need to pay attention to the road. Unlike many other robotaxi prototypes introduced in the past few years, the Tesla CyberCab will be available for purchase by private consumers.

The electric car is equipped with the latest Tesla autonomous control systems. Currently, about 50 samples have already been produced, which are used to test the autopilot. The wheels are equipped with aerodynamic covers that help increase the range of the robotaxi, and there is a light strip at the back. Since the car is designed to have fully autonomous driving, it does not need side mirrors or a rear window.
