Six months ago, Atlassian announced its AI virtual assistant Rovo AI. It includes search and chat-based AI tools to automate workflows across Rovo’s product range.

Rovo AI is now available to all Atlassian customers. Designed to help teams work better together, this AI assistant has three standout features. Rovo Search’s search functionality is primarily focused on pulling data from Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence, but can also work with external SaaS tools such as Slack, Figma, Google Drive and GitHub. According to Techcrunch, Rovo Search is expected to support 80 connectors in the coming months.

Automate workflows

Customers can also use Rovo Chat to quickly find information about projects, tasks or company data. Thanks to a Google Chrome extension, the AI ​​chatbot can be used on any website.

Another interesting part of Rovo AI is the Rovo Agents, AI agents that automate repetitive tasks for employees. This means they have more time for more important work. There are around 20 AI agents available, each with their own expertise, such as writing comments on a new version or translating texts. Users can also design their own agents to automate a specific workflow.

AI agents are on the rise and will soon become mainstream, according to OpenAI. Thanks to the latest language models, conversations with AI agents feel smoother and more natural than ever before. Atlassian will gradually expand its AI agents and their capabilities. The company already works with Appfire, Usertesting, Onward and Zapier.
