OutSystems has announced Mentor, an AI-powered digital assistant that supports developers throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from creation to control and management.

This tool helps develop, deploy, and manage applications using low-code and generative AI. The launch of Mentor took place during the OutSystems ONE conference in Amsterdam.

OutSystems launches Mentor as the first AI-driven digital assistant to support all steps in the software development cycle. From application creation to quality control and production management, Mentor focuses on improving developer productivity by automating processes and ensuring application quality. The tool helps build full-stack applications in minutes without sacrificing security or performance.

The tool offers features such as automatic app generation, automated code validation, and AI suggestions for continuous improvements. Users can simply describe the desired functionality and Mentor will generate an initial version of the application, including the interface, data model and business logic.

AI-driven innovations

Mentor uses generative AI and low-code to help teams develop and manage applications faster. AI-based code reviews ensure the highest standards of security and performance. Additionally, the tool offers the ability to add AI features such as natural language processing without the need for coding.

With the introduction of Mentor, OutSystems is taking a big step towards faster and more efficient software development, with AI playing a central role in optimizing processes and quality. Developers can already sign up for access to Mentor, which will be generally available in early 2025.
