Windows 10 is in its final year of mainstream support, but that doesn’t seem to bother it Microsoft Add new features to the original operating system. Actually Windows 10 A very good update is coming to the Settings application that will please even the users Windows 11 be a little jealous
A structure has just been published Windows 10 Release Preview and Beta 19045.5070 (KB5045594) includes some hidden updates in the About section of the Settings app. Aside from some weird design elements from Windows 11 (I’m not sure if this is a bug or a feature), the updated page displays a lot more information about your PC’s features. These include the model of your video card, the amount of video memory, memory, and the model of the drive. Additionally, the most significant bits are prominently displayed on the top cards.
There’s even a small FAQ section where users can learn more about their computer, such as how RAM affects performance, what the latest version of Windows is, and more.
As strange as it may seem (what a strange combination of Windows 10 and 11 design languages), it’s nice to see that Microsoft has updated its About page with a lot of additional information that makes learning the most important details about your PC much easier.
The changelog for version 19045.5070 mentions an updated About section, and you need to enable two feature IDs in the ViVeTool app for this to work. Here’s how to do this:
Now all Microsoft has to do, apart from announcing the new page, is to make it available to Windows 11 users. Interestingly, previous Windows 11 versions had similar feature cards in the Settings app, but Microsoft never made them publicly available. Maybe now is the time?
