Ghost Robotics’ quadrupedal Vision 60 robot is a highly versatile device capable of walking, running and even carrying weapons. It can now float thanks to a third-party plugin.
In its basic form, the Vision 60 can navigate rough terrain, develop speeds of up to 3 meters per second, carry payloads of up to 10 kg and run for three hours on a single charge.
Now, thanks to Onyx Industries’ Marine Autonomous Unmanned Tail (NAUT) attached to the back of the robot, the robot can reach speeds of up to 3 knots (5.6 km/h) in water. NAUT works autonomously or with the help of remote control. The robot keeps its legs stretched to improve hydrodynamics as it moves through the water.
Power is supplied either from the robot battery or its own NAUT battery – if the stated run time is more than 30 minutes.
