Adobe is introducing a new experimental tool called Project Turntable that allows artists to easily put 2D vector graphics into a different perspective.

At its Adobe Max event, Adobe announced new graphics tools that are currently still in the experimental phase. One such tool is Project turntablewhich allows artists to easily randomly rotate their 2D vector drawing into 3D, resulting in a new 2D vector image from a different view. This saves artists a lot of time. Adobe showed just a sneak peek of the project and some other new tools.

Project Turntable is a new experimental technology from Adobe. This tool allows creatives to display their vector graphics in a different viewing perspective using a simple slider. In this video, Zhiqin Chen, research scientist at Adobe, shows how it works.

“This technology allows artists to randomly rotate a 2D vector drawing into 3D, resulting in a 2D vector image that displays the object from the new view,” Adobe said. Normally this process takes a lot more time, but with this tool it can be done in no time.

It’s important to note that Adobe is only providing a preview of this experimental technology. This does not guarantee that the tool will actually start. Many previous features, such as Photoshop’s Remove tool, were initially experimental tools and have evolved into effective tools.
